About me

I’m Adithya P, a medical graduate from Bangalore, India.  I’ve recently finished a 9 month Community Health Fellowship at a non-governmental organization called Community Health Cell, and I’m now working temporarily with a Ministry of Health research institute on environmental health. Through the above mentioned fellowship I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting and working with very experienced people in the field of social and environment science and activism.

I’m involved with the campaigns of many enviromental groups in and around Bangalore, India. I am closely associated with a group called Lets integrate for Environment (www.letsintegrateforenvironment.blogspot.com).

Through this blog i wish to convey what i’ve understood from my experiences and reading, and it would hopefully motivate others to pull up their socks too. I do not primarily wish to give green tips, which are on offer on thousands of sites on the net. I would only write about things that got me to think and feel about issues of importance in a better way; and also quote from passages that have made an impact on me. I will attempt to write as often as I can, and keep sharing the thoughts that pop up in my head. Hope you find these posts useful. Also, this blog is not meant to be one-d, any kind of feedback and opinions are welcome…after all, it is but my opinion that i can express.

What I feel is that the realization of the existence of the environmental crisis is itself a process which takes different amounts of time for each person. It will probably take the cutting of the last tree on earth for everyone to realize. This blog mainly attempts to find ways so that such a situation can be avoided.
